Project 1- Exercise

LECTURES

Week 1/ Intro

Mr Hafiz introduce us about this module and all project we need to be done. All we need to do is understand and recognise most of the pen tool in Adobe Illustrator. As the result, we are required to play <Bezier game> for helping us to master and master our pen tool skill for future illustration.

Week 2/ Vormator Practices

For our project 1, we were tasked to do a vormator challenge, which is using the shapes given and create our own character. However, the rules are we are not allowed to distort or cut the shape, we are only allowed to change the size or rotate the shapes only.

First, we start by tracing the shapes given out by Mr Hafiz.

Week 3/Colour

Mr. Hafiz teach us how to make a different colour layer, gradient, pattern and texture.

Week 4/ Illustrated type & Introduce to Project 2

Mr. Hafiz introduced project 2 and give some sample video for using pen tool to distort words that we need to design. We are encouraged to do pencil exercise.

MY TIGER poster things to do:

1.Research on the 12 SDG goals and Maybank’s MyTIGER values

2.Choose the topic that you really liked

3.Compile your research into one place i.e. Word doc, Google Slide, collaborative tool like MIRO etc. (as long there are trail of research as evidence)

4.Compile visual references based on your research/understanding into the same location

Week 5/ 3D

We have been introduced the 3D effect in Adobe Illustrator, we are required to do some practices to enhance this skill.

Project 1

Exercise 1 -Vormator Challenge Character

My idea come from my horoscope-CAPRICORN, and my favourite colour- PURPLE. I used a shape of mermaid to express my it characteristic. I create it by using my imagination Capricorn's appearance.
